Robyn Rihanna Fenty alias Rihanna est une chanteuse née à St Michael en 1988 dans une île des Barbade où elle vécut une jeunesse heureuse dans une fratrie de trois enfants. C'est le producteur Evan Rogers qui l'a découverte lors d'un passage dans l'île en 2003. Impressionné par son talent Jay-Z, président de Def Jam Records signe rapidement un contrat pour 6 albums avec la jeune chanteuse qui n'avait alors que 16 ans .

- Son style musical Rihanna puise ses influences musicales dans les sources des Caraïbes ainsi que chez Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey et Beyonce. Au début de l'année 2005, elle quitte St Michael pour s'installer aux États-Unis pour se consacrer à sa carrière musicale tout en poursuivant ses études aux côtés d'un tuteur privé. Lancée en juin 2005, le premier single de Rihanna est « Pon De Replay » qui prépare à un album intitulé « Music of the sun ». Son style est un mélange de Rnb, de Dancehall et de Reggae.

Sean Paul
Sean Paul est né le 8 janvier 1973 en Jamaïque. Sa mère est une célèbre peintre Jamaïcaine. C'est tout d'abord vers le sport qu'il se tournera à l'adolescence.
Il représente d'ailleurs la Jamaïque lors de compétitions internationales en water-polo, mais c'est vers la musique que son c½ur se dirige par la suite.

Il sortira un premier single en 1996 "Baby girl" qui lui permettra de se faire connaître du milieu ragga.

Son premier album "Stage One" sort 4 ans plus tard, en 2000. Mais c'est avec son second album "Dutty Rock" sorti en 2003, qu'il explose.
Il connaît un succès immédiat et collabore très rapidement avec des artistes internationaux tels que Nina Sky ou bien encore la sublime Beyonce.

Fin 2005, Sean Paul sort son troisième album "The Trinity" et le succès est toujours au rendez-vous... Avec ses titres phares tel que "We Be Burnin' ", 'Ever Blazin' ", "Temperature" et "Never Be The Same", Sean Paul continue son avancée... Il fait toujours autant se déhancher les amoureux du ragga...

Une nouvelle édition de cette album devrait sortir le 19 juin 2006 en France... cet opus comporterait un bonus de six titres dont des collaborations avec des artistes de renommé comme Santana, Joss Stone ou encore la bombe, Rihanna

Biographie de Nelly Furtado
Nelly Furtado est née au Canada en 1980, de parents émigrés portugais. Baignée dans la culture américaine dès son plus jeune âge, elle est influencée par des groupes comme TLC, Salt'n'Pepa, Lionel Richie, PM Dawn. A l'adolescence, ses racines européennes la renouent avec la pop: The Verve, U2, Oasis et Garbage et le fado. Elle pratique le yukulélé, un instrument peu commun en soi, et le trombone, puis enfin sa voix. Lors d'un concours de chant à Toronto, auquel elle participe, elle est remarquée par un directeur artistique de chez Universal. Très vite signée, elle enregistre son premier single I'm Like a Bird, qui sort en 2001, suivi de son premier album Whoa Nelly. Son talent ainsi confirmé, elle continue sur sa lancée en 2003 avec l'album Folklore, avant d'aborder un virage R&B en 2006 avec Loose.
